Jewelry and fashion jewelry can be a great gift for the holidays for those loved ones. With all of the winter holidays approaching, you are probably looking for something for your special someone. A husband may think of getting his wife a beautiful new set of diamond earrings, while a father may want to buy his five year old daughter her first pair of fourteen carat gold earrings for when she gets her ears pierced this holiday season. Whatever you are looking to buy, make it meaningful and surprise them!

I know I personally would not be upset with a set of fresh water pearl earrings or silver Tiffany’s necklace. You can never go wrong with diamonds, after all, they are a girl’s best friend. If you are thinking of proposing, you may want to do a bit of shopping around beforehand. Don’t buy the first thing you see. There are so many choices out there. Diamonds come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and you can go with different band styles as well. Some of the shapes you can get are round, triangle, princess, pear, oval, cushion, among many others. You can also buy a diamond as small as half a carat, or as big as five carats. You can also get engagement rings that have more than one diamond on them. You can get gold or silver or other types of bands.

You may not want to buy something so expensive for the holidays, maybe your pocketbook will only allow you to buy a twenty dollar chunky bracelet from Forever Twenty-One. Sometimes fashion jewelry can be just as fun as a ten thousand dollar diamond ring, and you don’t even have to worry about losing it since it cost you under fifty dollars. No matter what you buy your wife, she will probably still love it since it is the thought that counts.

In the malls now there are all sorts of sales on jewelry for the holidays. You may want to look into Macy’s, Sears, Marshalls, and Ross. For a friend, you may be looking in the twenty dollar price range. I would recommend trying Marshalls out or other places that always have gift items on sale. Sometimes if you buy a certain amount of makeup or jewelry somewhere, they will give you a free gift for your purchase and that is also nice to give as a holiday gift.

Don’t forget to wrap your gift up nicely for that special someone. Sometimes stores will do it for you, like the high end stores or department stores. But if you shop at Marshalls or Ross you will have to buy your own gift bag or wrapping paper and do it yourself.

The holidays can be an exciting time of year to surprise your special someone. And if you are getting engaged, you can’t go wrong with a 1 carat or 3 carat diamond ring. It is all about the presetation and element of surprise involved. Happy Holidays!

Jewelry And Fashion Trends For 2011

Winter came and went, we bounced into Spring surrounded by the latest fabulous jewelry and fashion trends which have caused us to feel inclined to pack away our boots and head for the dizzying heights of Summer’s strappy sandals. Or alternatively a pair of the superb 2011 bead encrusted wedges, bordering on jewelry.

White shirts are predominant this season, competing with block colour trends to take pride of place in our wardrobes. Perfect to be worn with a multitude of designer jewelry styles from the many online catalogues.

Blazers are back, smart, flattering and can be worn with anything from wide legged trousers to skinny jeans. If you have saved yours from a past season, all the better. Jazz it up with the latest accessories, bespoke jewelry can add an instant lift to any classic look.

Cocktail rings are making it big. The bolder the better, just as fashionable worn with a classically draped simplistic even dress as worn with that little fitted white t-shirt and jeans.

Fluorescent tones are making a comeback too, both in clothes and jewelry. Be elaborate, stand out from the crowd by adding a little fluorescence to your look. Perfect from office to evening wear when coupled with the trendy gilt coloured accessories popping up everywhere this season.

Lace is at large this Spring/Summer seen in dresses, skirts, shirts and bib necklaces. Either go slightly punk rock and head for black or tone it down and wear pure white adding a little colour with your designer jewelry creating a glamorous look.

1970’s trends have surfaced again with jumpsuits at the top of the list. Sexy, sleek and oh so versatile. Add a little tassled handbag or necklace of the same style to a simplistic jumpsuit and off you go. Perfect for that special day out. Night beckons a different approach. With Premium Designer Jewelry of 2011 being added to this look to create a bold, unforgettable statement.

Silk and Chiffon are big this season, we love the romantic flow of these soft textiles. Perfectly flattering most body types. The latest metal jewelry, especially gold style pieces are fabulous with this romantic trend.

This season is all about creating your own look. Wear that piece of designer jewelry you have been coveting to add your own twist to the latest trends. Before you know it, you will be called a fashionista with others following your unique style.
